Triumph TR3A 1960
My car was exported to the USA in 1960, as were virtually all TR3`s that year. She returned to the UK in 1994 and spend the next few years in Scotland, where she had considerable work done, then on the island of Jersey, under ownership of a vicar, before going to the North of England.
I bought the car in November 2009 from TRBitz in Warrington, and set off from there to Spain via the Channel Tunnel and France. We made it as far as Leamington Spa before noticing a massive oil leak from the gearbox. This lead to a couple of days in Worcester at a classic car specialist who sorted the problem out. After that was fixed, she behaved herself perfectly on the 3 day drive to Spain. Since then, she has had a “wings, doors, bonnet and boot off” re spray, plus the usual tidying up. My regular co-pilot is Anne-Marie.
