Aircraft Museum – 27th Feb. 2016
Not particularly good weather but 56 people turned up to GAS Pinatar for this event. We had coffee and on looking out of the window, it looked dark and forbidding – then we realised that the glass in the cafereria was tinted.
The convoy was led by “the Hooligan”, aptly named because of his destruction of the plastic skittles on our last Autotest at the Castillo.
We arrived at the Aircraft Museum in Los Alcazares and as it was a small exhibition, some of us had a coffee first and caught up with the exhibition later – it was quite informative and the photo`s and models were very good, an understanding of some Spanish helped.
On setting off again, we followed the route through La Union and had a lovely drive over the mountains of the mining area of Portman with one ot two drops of rain and some sunshine.
We arrived at Restaurante Campoverde where we had a nice meal and caught up with friends for a natter, then made out own way home. A most enjoyable day.
